Or, to put it another way, 21 months longer than we expected to wait. Sigh.
There are 15 LIDs ahead of us (January 13 - January 27th, and then there is a gap during which nobody was logged in due to Chinese New Year. We figure we'll get our referral in August. That is, unless the CCAA decides not to do referrals right before the Olympics. I'm not sure what the Olympics have to do with adoption, but my logic and CCAA logic do not jibe. For instance, why are they still accepting dossiers? Why????
So. There it is, 27 months and counting. But hopefully not for too long. :)
I feel for everybody after us and my fingers are crossed for a speed-up after the Olympics.

Um, yes, why do they keep accepting referrals? I sometimes wonder if they're just not really telling the higher=ups how bad it is.
BUT, we are thrilled to think you are so close! Finally! Someone we know and love getting in the door!

We are right there waiting with you, our LID is 2/06/2006. I am thinking an August referral as well. If we get very lucky, maybe we'll squeak by for a July referral. This wait has been VERY difficult. Maybe we will meet up in China this summer. We are getting finally getting close!

I just can't wait ....so soon but so far.Its amazing to think we have the same LID year but it might mean waiting another two years for us.
