Ariel's photos from china

You can see from this post and the next who is the photographer of the family!  Here are some of Ariel's photos from today.
These men were playing unusual (for us) instruments and singing patriotic songs.
Some of the translations are very funny.

What on Earth are you doing up at this hour? You poor, jet-lagged American, you!

I tuned in at exactly the right time Nina! Love ALL of the photos. I can just imagine you there and you're right everything is so huge and beautiful! :)

Nina looks amazing and as expected is learning, growing, soaking in this amazing adventure!

Now go to sleep!

Oh my goodness, these pictures are AMAZING! Ariel has such a talent - I hope she knows that. To capture the silent beauty of not only the country but also the people is so hard to do but she did both of the perfectly. I enjoyed these so much and can't wait to get to China. One week from today, we will be at the Summer Palace, too!

Once you get some sleep, please let me know how the weather is there. We will be packing the next two days.

Our love to you and SEE YOU SOON! Love, E
