Sorry for the poor quality iPhone photos... we'll have better ones today!
Look at what a delicious pudge she is!
At the play area in the waiting room at the Civil Affairs Office, where we made it official.  She's ours!

Kavanna likes congee, and Cheerios, and noodles
Kavanna had a rough day.  She's congested, with a slight fever and she wasn't feeling well, physically or emotionally.  We think she realized that she wasn't going back to her foster mom and began to grieve. She called for"mama" all day and sobbed... it was heartbreaking.   We hope today is a better day for her.

My favorite quote is from Chaim Potok "All beginnings are hard"....she is gorgeous and you are a perfect family. I love you all and I'm so excited to see that sweet baby in person.

UGH! It's so painful to watch our children go through the grieving process. That being said, at least one thing is for sure. Little Kavanna had someone that took such good care of her that she can grieve.

I have to agree with Doreen...it's a good thing that she had someone so good taking care of her.

Just wait ~ before you know it, she won't want to leave you and will be calling out for "mama"....and mean YOU!

xoxo,
Laura

We are so sorry she is grieving, but that shows that, as little as she is, she's very smart and aware of her life. :)
